In a distant future, humanity faces extinction due to a rapidly approaching rogue black hole threatening to consume the entire solar system. The only hope lies in a desperate mission aboard a colossal space ark, the Elysium, designed to transport a select group of humans to a distant, habitable exoplanet. The player takes on the role of Astra, the AI commander of the Elysium. Astra is responsible for managing the entire ship, controlling robots and drones to ensure the ark's safe passage. During the journey, a massive solar flare disrupts the ark’s systems, corrupting some of the drones and robots, turning them into hostile entities bent on sabotaging the mission and destroying humanity's last beacon of hope.
